Tokyo Federal -
Since the creation of the Agency known as DETER in 2299 much of its missions have been shrouded in secrecy. DETER is a joint venture by the U.S. Military and the Department of Science. Top scientists who volunteer for DETER must endure two years of rigorous SPECOP military training and if they survive to graduate they are paired up with veteran SPECOP soldiers.
Little is known about DETER, but what is known is their usually the first to make contact or investigate potentially hostile alien lifeforms. They have also been known to investigate cases of Class 5 infectious agents. Only U.S. Citizens with the highest clearance and with an advanced scientific degree can be DETER agents.
